2015-2018 Maserati GranTurismo: Recall Alert
Vehicles Affected: Approximately 740 model-year 2015-18 Maserati GranTurismo coupes and model-year 2016-18 GranTurismo convertibles
The Problem: The airbag electronic control unit may have a defective power supply capacitor that can cause a deactivation or inadvertent airbag deployment, increasing the risk of injury and a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will replace the airbag ECU for free.
What Owners Should Do: Maserati will begin notifying owners July 30. Owners can call the automaker at 877-696-2737, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
