Top 5 Reviews and Videos: 2019 Mazda CX-9 Takes Out Telluride
The 2019 Mazda CX-9 is just one three-row SUV in a jam-packed class of tough competitors. The CX-9 stands out among the rest with its responsive, turbocharged drivetrain and sporty edge. While the ever-popular Kia Telluride has it beat in interior space, the CX-9 has managed to outdo the Telluride this week, landing itself at No.1 on our list of top five reviews.

Cars.com reviewer Mike Hanley says the CX-9 drives as you would expect a Mazda to drive, delivering an experience that is a cut above the rest.
“The biggest thing that separates the CX-9 from its competitors is ride and handling,” he writes. “Taut suspension tuning results in well-controlled body motions that give the SUV a planted feel in corners. Most three-row SUVs make their considerable bulk known when you toss them into corners, but the CX-9 willingly plays along when you have the urge to drive it like the Miata you owned before you had kids.”
Putting the CX-9 in Sport mode, Hanley says, really adds to the experience. It holds lower gears longer before upshifting, heightening the drivetrain response. Sport mode also adds increased gas pedal sensitivity.
What else makes the CX-9 a “sporty outlier” in a crowded class of three-row SUVs? Check out the review via the link below to find out.
