Thanks to Saginaw Steering Columns, 1974 GM Cars Fit Both Jockeys and Detroit Pistons

Adjustable steering columns were still pretty rare in 1974, so the Saginaw Steering Gear Division of General Motors put out this full-page magazine advertisement showing Willie Norwood of the Detroit Pistons next to an unidentifiable (by me) jockey bragging about the ability of a Saginaw tilt wheel to adjust to fit everybody. Yes, even the lowly Chevy Nova had a “Comfortilt” steering wheel as an option that year.
