Kia Sonet facelift exterior details revealed ahead of launch

The first undisguised images of the Kia Sonet facelift have surfaced online. The latest set of leaked images reveals the changes made to the exterior design.
Let’s be clear from the outset, that the Sonet facelift seen in these images is the global model. The Indian version will differ slightly.
As you can see, the Sonet facelift gets a revised front fascia featuring new L-shaped headlamps, while the basic shape of the front grille remains the same. At the rear, the car gets a new set of LED taillights connected by an LED light bar like the Seltos. The rear bumper looks chunkier, although the Indian version will get different bumpers.
The Sonet facelift is expected to get a few interior updates as well. The sub-4 metre crossover has been spotted sporting a digital instrument cluster, updated switchgear and a rear seat armrest.
Mechanically, the updated Sonet will be identical to the outgoing version. It will carry forward the existing 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, 6-speed automatic and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
