Lamborghini Sterrato off-road supercar spied testing

Lamborghini is yet to confirm whether the Sterrato will be a one-off project or be part of a limited-series production.

The Lamborghini Sterrato – the brand’s Huracan-based off-road supercar has been spied undergoing testing. The Sterrato was first showcased as a concept back in 2019 and is now entering production, with its global unveil expected by end-2022.

As seen from the spy images, the Lamborghini Sterrato features a higher ground clearance. The prototype itself is assumed to have an AWD setup. It can also be seen sporting skid plates, roof rails, an LED light bar on the bonnet and a dual-inlet air scoop on the roof. However, the prototype does miss out on the chunky cladding and the upsized wheels seen on the concept, although these could be added on the production version at a later date.

Reports suggest that the Lamborghini Sterrato will use the 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 engine from the Huracan EVO. It produces 631 BHP and is paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.
