NHRA Pro Mod Racer Unhurt In Crash During U.S. Nationals Action

Rick Hord was uninjured Friday evening at Indianapolis in his accident during the first qualifying session of the NHRA’s E3 Spark Plugs Pro Mod Series during the Dodge//SRT NHRA U.S. Nationals.

The Orlando, Fla., veteran’s 2016 Corvette took a hard left shortly after the launch and plowed hard into the Lucas Oil Raceway wall. It bounced off the left wall and skidded across the track and made contact with the right wall before coming to a halt in the sand trap at the end of the shutdown area.

Hord left the car under his own power.
