Sebastian Vettel to retire from F1 at the end of 2022 season

Sebastian Vettel got his first win in 2008, making him the youngest-ever Grand Prix winner in F1.

Sebastian Vettel has announced that he will retire from Formula 1 at the end of the 2022 season. The four-time Formula 1 World Champion made the announcement via social media ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Vettel joined the sport in 2007 with a one-off appearance for the BMW Sauber team, before making a mid-season move to Torro Rosso (now AlphaTauri) the same year. He eventually moved to Red Bull where he enjoyed the peak of his success, winning four consecutive world championships between 2010 and 2013. Sebastian then moved to Ferrari in 2015, before joining Aston Martin in 2021.

Sebastian Vettel got his first win in 2008, making him the youngest-ever Grand Prix winner in F1. He also holds the record for being the youngest-ever F1 World Champion.

Vettel’s final appearance in Abu-Dhabi in November 2022 will also mark his 300th race.
