Watch Ken Block Melt Tires on a Ford GT He’s Raffling Off for Charity
Ken Block is giving you the chance to become the owner of two of Ford’s finest cars—a low-mileage 2005 GT and one of his Gymkhana rallycross cars. But not before melting the tires on both.
Block announced today in a new YouTube video he’s partnering with Omaze to give away a 1500-mile Ford GT for charity. To promote the online raffle, Omaze lent Block the car, but told him he could only put 50 miles on the odometer. They apparently didn’t say how those miles could be added, because Block immediately did what we all expected him to: A big, smokey burnout. We hope the next owner doesn’t mind.
The 52-year-old Gymkhana driver says he also plans to auction off his Ford Focus RS RX rallycross car, used to compete in the 2016 World Rallycross Championship season, and play parts in Gymkhanas 9 and 10. Proceeds from the Barrett-Jackson sale will go to Team Rubicon, a charity that provides relief to those affected by natural disaster.
So if a bonkers Ford is on your list of must-haves, you have two solid choices here. Which one would you rather have? Let us know in the comments below.
