BMW is preparing for its new-generation of models set to be introduced from 2025. The Neue Klasse concepts have already been showcased by BMW, however, a production-spec prototype has been spied testing in Germany for the first time.

As seen from the images, the spied Neue Klasse electric vehicle is said to be the iX3 – the electric version of the brand’s X3. The car though spotted testing is scheduled to enter production only in 2025. The images showcase a heavily camouflaged electric SUV, although it does give a hint as to what the next-generation BMW models could look like. The styling of the SUV at the front is very similar to that of the concept, including the smaller kidney grille. The SUV will also feature new front and rear LED light designs & flush door handles; among a host of features on the exterior.

Similar to the exterior, the interiors of the Neue Klasse BMW will also get a complete overhaul, featuring the brand’s ninth-gen iDrive system, panoramic sunroof, head-up display, gesture-controlled interface and voice assists; to name a few.

While details of the BMW Neue Klasse SUV are scarce, reports do suggest that the iX3 will come in eDrive40, eDrive50 and M60 variants. The base and mid-variants will get the option of BMW’s xDrive system, while the M60 trim gets it as standard.

More details of the BMW Neue Klasse SUV could be revealed in the coming months.
