Motorists should note that this process will naturally take longer, and probably isn\u2019t the best solution for those in a rush.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As well as using coffee granules as a de-icer, experts at Karcher have also suggested coffee could be used as a de-mister. Failing to fully clear windscreens and windows of frost and mist is against the Highway Code and is likely to result in penalties.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Rule 229 of the Highway Code reads: \u201cBefore you set off you must be able to see, so clear all snow and ice from all your windows.
